Statement from HOFOR

At HOFOR, climate-protection has high priority. Hos HOFOR er klimasikring højt på dagsordenen. This is why we consulted Mosbaek A/S to find a way to manage rain during cloudbursts. What we wanted was a cloudburst chamber to ensure that the first-flush from roads and squares was diverted for treatment, so the remaining water could be diverted to a harbour or canal. 

We contacted Mosbaek due to their long-standing experience of controlling flow with flow regulators which provide good value for money and are reliable and inexpensive to operate.

The solution was designed through dialogue between Mosbaek and HOFOR and is made up of two elements with a non-return valve. Both can be dismantled, so that they can be taken up, inspected and re-installed from ground level.

We were completely satisfied, since the cloudburst chamber does precisely what we wanted: it helps uphold the harbour’s bathing water quality.
