Mosbaek's Double Baffle flow regulator is available in countless dimensions and is custom-designed in each individual instance, which means that it is always possible to achieve an ideal characteristic within the regulators' range of use. This ideal design gives Mosbaek's Double Baffle flow regulator unique flow control properties which is why Mosbaek's flow regulators have the biggest orifice opening and minimise the risk of clogging. During operation, the flow regulator's orifice opening is unchanged; it does not gradually contract if the water level rises, as is the case for some flow-control techniques.
The DB regulator has adjustable baffles. The baffles are infinitely adjustable to ±25% of the capacity in the centre position. The setting interval for the individual flow regulator varies. The capacity can be changed on site without having to replace components: two sets of two screws are loosened with a hexagon spanner and the orifices are adjusted. If you wish to change the capacity, you can contact Mosbaek A/S. We identify the flow regulator from its reference number and then calculate the orifice settings for the new capacity.
Flow regulator, type DB, is mounted on the outlet of the inspection chamber, meaning that it is submerged during operation. This type of flow regulator is designed for being embedded in concrete. The accumulation of sediments is minimised by casting the benching to have a downward slope from all sides toward the manhole channel. It is also easier to clean the structure by flushing it out from above before descending. This enables inspection, service or capacity changes to take place under ideal hygienic conditions.
The rounded bottom and no directional change through the flow regulator mean that Mosbaek's Double Baffle flow regulator has ideal self-cleaning properties.
In many instances, the Double Baffle flow regulator can be built into existing or custom-designed manholes or tanks as it requires very little space.
